Katie Vaden President – Joined the board in 2004; painter in watercolors and oils; a commercial tenant of Riverviews in a day studio that she shares with other painters; former insurance underwriter and educator; long time resident of Lynchburg where she has served on numerous community boards, including Friends of Rivermont and as chairperson of Historic Garden Day.

Annette Chenault Vice-President - Joined the Board in 2006; Planner II in Community Planning & Development, City of Lynchburg, with primary oversight of historic preservation activities, including responsibility of overseeing alterations to over 700 historic-designated properties, grant writing and monitoring and Secretary to the Historic Preservation Commission; painter in pastels and watercolors; also serves on the Anne Spencer House & Garden Museum Board and Member of Lynchburg Historical Foundation.

Milton Blanks Treasurer - Vice President of Finance Taylor Brothers, Inc. 5 years in public accounting, 2 years internal auditor, and 18 years service in the construction industry. Community Service - 7 years service with United Way. 2 years as an account executive calling on corporations for donations, and 5 years as Cabinet member in charge of the fund raising campaign for the construction division. Personal interests are Civil War history and sports.

Rob Gray Secretary – Joined the board in 2006; Practiced law in Appomottox for 30 years.  Served on the Community Services Board for many years and the Gateway Volunteer Staff for 5 years.  On the board of Dante Alighieri Society.  Very involved in community theatre both behind the scenes and on stage.

Naomi Amos- Joined the board in 2008.  Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Randolph College and helps faculty secure external grants. An active professional pianist and composer, working with Opera on the James, and Agudath Sholom congregation. Received her B.A. at the University of Rochester and Eastman School of Music, and her Masters of Music at Eastman. In addition to numerous performances as soloist and accompanist, she has created music designs for 14 theatrical productions. Serves on the Board of Adminitration at Agudath Sholom congregation, is a facilitator in the city-wide Community Dialogues on Race and Racism, and an At-Large Councilor for the national organization, Council on Undergraduate Research.

Bill Bodine Joined the board in 2007.  Will serve as Co-Chair of CINEviews Committee in 2008.  Employed as Administrator for Plastic Surgery Associates of Lynchburg.  Graduated with a degree in business and a Master’s in Administration from Lynchburg College.  Active in local theater and plays guitar and sings in rock band.  Has served on Board of Lynchburg Academy of Fine Arts and is currently President of the Lynchburg Morning Rotary Club.

Laura Dupuy - Joined the  board in 2007. Executive director of the Lynchburg Neighborhood Development Foundation (LNDF) and executive director and secretary of the Lynchburg Community Loan Fund.  An attorney formerly with the Virginia Legal Aid Society in Farmville and Lynchburg. Serves on the board for Johnson Community Health Center, Earthcraft-Virginia, Virginia Community Development Corporation, the Virginia Housing Coalition, and is a gubernatorial appointee to the Virginia Fair Housing Board. Ms. Dupuy is a graduate of New York University and George Mason University Law School and is a member of the Virginia State Bar.

Doni Guggenheimer: Joined the board in 2003; lifetime interest in the visual arts, music and writing; has worked as a guidance counselor, middle and high school English teacher and museum educator; currently also a member of Friends of the Academy of Fine Arts and The Anne Spencer House and Garden Museum Board; has studied drawing, printmaking, photography, and weaving; active in the planning of Riverviews' Third Thursday programs since their inception.

Lou Gregory – Board member since 1994, president, 1996-2002; resident of Lynchburg for over 35 years; Ed.D. in counselor education; mental health therapist and teacher for over 30 years; holds a real estate license, sold real estate locally during the 1980s and has real estate development experience.  

Andy MacCallum - Joined the board in 2008. Raised in Lynchburg and currently a stay home dad. BA in English Lit., MA in Non-Fiction Writing and Editing. Prior to current occupation worked in several fields including 10 years in the restaurant
industry, 4 years as sales and customer service manager for a publishing firm in Reston, VA, and an internship with Feedback magazine (Richmond, VA) as feature writer. Chair of the Marketing Committee, and CINEviews co-chair 2008.

Jim Muehlmann – Joined the Board in 2007.  A contemporary painter living and working in Lynchburg, Virginia. He has taught painting and drawing at Randolph-Macon Woman’s College for the past thirteen years and continues to do so. Before settling in Lynchburg he lived and exhibited his work in New York City. He has had numerous exhibitions both in and outside of New York. Among the awards he has garnered is the Rome Prize from the American Academy in Rome, where he lived for two years.     

Craig Pleasants – Board member since 2000; area resident for over 10 years; Program Director of the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts; nationally exhibited sculptor with works shown in New York City, Marseille, France, Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina; served on the board of the Alliance of Artists Communities; a nominee for the Governor’s Award in the Arts for 2000.

Pat PriceEmployed by Lynchburg College as an Associate Director of the Center for Community Development & Social Justice and Coordinator of the Service Learning Program. Directs the Young Champions Program with the Amelia Pride Center of Lynchburg City Schools.  Board of Directors for the College Hill Neighborhood School, United Way of Central Virginia, Old City Cemetery, 5th Street Community Development Corporation, Junior Achievement, and Interfaith Outreach Association. She serves as a member of Lynchburg City Schools’ Key Communicators’ which is a community advocacy group for at risk students and families; and as a member of the planning committee of the Black Church Week of Prayer for the Healing of HIV/AIDS.  Pat is also a member of the working group of the City of Lynchburg’s Community Dialogue on Race and Racism.

Rosel Schewel – Joined the board in 2003; taught at Lynchburg College for 18 years; and also served on the Board of Trustees, recently completing a term as President of the Board; served as Chair of the Board of the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities, has been on the Board of Amazement Square and many other community boards.

Rina Shere, Ed.D. - Joined the Board in 2006. Fifteen years experience in arts education and non-profit management.  New Jersey State Governors Award for Arts Leadership in 2002.  Active on the CINEviews Film festival committee and on the Riverviews Development committee.
