HOW TO GET INVOLVED AT RIVERVIEWS ARTSPACE

Riverviews Artspace began as an entirely volunteer run organization, and it remains dependent on volunteers today. We simply couldn't keep the Craddock-Terry Gallery open five afternoons a week or the special events free and open to the public without our dedicated team volunteer staff.

If you are excited about the arts and looking for a place where your time and energy will make a difference, then please read on to learn more about opportunities to get involved!

BECOME A CRADDOCK-TERRY GALLERY WORKER

Volunteers help staff the Craddock-Terry Gallery, greet visitors, and spread the news about Riverviews. There is no minimum time commitment and we are always looking for more arts enthusiasts to join our team. Get to know new people! Have fun and help a great organization and downtown revitalization at the same time!

If you'd like to learn more about volunteering at RIVERVIEWS ARTSPACE, contact Mary Ann Racin at volunteer@riverviews.net.

INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES:

Internships at Riverviews offer the unique opportunity to get involved in the emerging arts scene of Lynchburg. As an intern you will have the chance to learn in depth about the innerworkings of a young, non-profit arts space and will be exposed to an extensive pool of artists, performers, and writers across disciplines.

Riverviews is currently seeking to fill the following positions:

PR INTERN

Riverviews seeks a PR Intern to assist with all related job duties including writing press releases, maintaining media contacts, and updating databases. The intern will work closely with the Press Liaison on intensive efforts to increase Riverviews publicity. This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to learn more about publicity in the arts and non-profit organizations. Qualified applicants will have a passion for the arts, strong writing skills, and excellent attention to detail. A commitment of 4 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks is required.

GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN

Riverviews is seeking a Graphic Design Intern to assist with the creation of promotional materials including monthly calendars, flyers for shows, and fundraising mailers, among others. The intern will also help with basic design needs as they arise. Applicants MUST have solid working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and have strong attention to detail. A commitment of 4 hours per week for a minimum of 8 weeks is required.

If you are interested in applying, please email resume and cover letter in Word format to Mary Ann Racin at volunteer@riverviews.net. Please be sure to indicate the internship you are applying for in the subject line of your email. Intern applications are accepted year-round.
